Watching the passing armada of glistening white yachts heading into the nearby harbor at Palma, Nassau Beach Club is located on the beach but not a very beachy one like its more-famous Ibiza sibling. Houses in a sleek architectural box of teak siding at the edge of newer waterfront devolpment to the east of Palma, Nassau plays a double duty by day and night. The space is divided between the inside restaurant and lounge bar and large terrace where much of the magic happens from late night dance parties to summertime lunch soirees. One of the island's better beach club venues for anyone not privy to pizza cafes and beer bars, the club is home to a sushi café and full-restaurant that is just as popular for lunch as it is for dinner with its sashimi menu and more traditional grilled meats and salad dishes. A nearby beach of white sand is good for laying out and ok but not great for swimming, with cocktail service during high-season months from July through mid-September.
Tips
Balearic beach club collection offers upscale beach-based restaurant, sushi bar and lounge for daytime summer fun and nightlife.
Last Word
Not the best swimming beach and a bit far away from the actual restaurant, come late-afternoon and enjoy the terrace with its DJ-spun sushi and champagne scene.
